North American airlines, on average, delivered 81.32% of their flights to the arrival gate within 15 minutes of schedule in April, up nearly 5 percentage points from March’s 76.77%. Cancellations dropped to just over 1%, down from 1.18% in March and from February’s 1.17% cancellation rate.

With Czech airlines leading the way, all of the top 10 European performers exceeded 90% on-time arrivals in April. SAS led the major carriers with 90.78% on-time arrivals. The average OTP for the group was 80.58% in April, down from 84.42% in March and up slightly from February’s 79.32%.

Hokkaido International (HD) led Asian carriers with a solid performance – 95.76% on-time arrivals with Tiger Airways and Spicejet joining JAL and ANA carriers to round out the top 10. The average on-time performance rating among the 38 airlines we analyzed in April was 69.71%, down from 73.46 in March and from February’s 72.2%.
