What is your position at FlightStats?

Chief Revenue Officer

What made you interested in what you do?

I have always enjoyed working with customers and helping them solve their problems. Really understanding customers goals and building solutions that aid them in reaching those goals is what motivates me.

How long have you been working at FlightStats?

4 years

How has FlightStats evolved since you started?

In terms of size, we’ve grown from a small company to a medium-sized company. What we do has also changed. We’ve gone from a company that only sells data to a company that builds enterprise class solutions. Finally, the way our customers now rely on our services has changed. We’ve become a key component of their business.

What do you like about working at FlightStats?

The people. It’s a great team. Everyone here is passionate about what they do and they all bring an outstanding level of professionalism to the job. This team is really focused on making sure our customer needs are met.

What is the best part of selling products to customers in the aviation industry?

I really like the industry professionals I have the opportunity to meet. It’s very intellectually stimulating to work with real innovators and leaders in the travel space.

What are your hopes for our industry?

I think more transparency across the industry is my biggest hope for the future. As we move forward, some customers may be reluctant to share certain data sets with us; however, I’m confident that those who do will see how it helps them become more efficient and accomplish their goals.

What do you do in your free time?

I have a son who plays high school baseball and summer travel team ball, so I spend most of my free time traveling to tournaments to support him. I also walk my dog, a Shiba named Haku, every day.

Any other fun facts you want to share?

I have dual citizenship with Ireland and I lived in Japan for two years.
