O.R. Tambo International Airport (airport code JNB) is the main air transportation hub for the city of Johannesburg and serves all of Southern Africa. Formerly called Johannesburg International Airport, the name was changed to O.R. Tambo, a South African liberation leader, in 2006. It hosts more than 17 million passengers annually. Recently updated for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the airport has two terminals, A and B. Along with terminal improvements, the airport is currently upgrading its parking facilities and recently completed a Gautrain link from Sandton Station to the airport. With over 40 regional, national and international airlines from five continents, Tambo Airport connect Southern Africa with the world.
