(BOM) Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport Overview

Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (airport code BOM), located 26 kilometers north of Mumbai, is one of India's busiest airports and the 2nd busiest South Asian airport with over 29 million passengers in 2010. Chhatrapati has three terminals, Terminal 1A, 1B and 1C serving domestic travelers, Terminal 2 for international travelers and a third terminal for cargo. Originally two airports, Sahar International and Santa Cruz Airport, they are now connected by a 15-minute ride on free shuttle buses for international travelers connecting to domestic flights. Terminal 1B and Terminal 2 have recently undergone extensive renovations to upgrade systems and prepare the airport for an expected growth of 40 million annual passengers.
