Dallas Love Field (airport code DAL) is located 6 miles northwest of downtown Dallas, Texas. A city-owned, public use airport, Love Field currently has one terminal building serving Southwest Airlines, Continental Express, Delta, and American Airlines/American Eagle. Hosting over 7 million passengers a year, the terminal is undergoing a modernization project expected to be complete by 2014. The remodel includes a new concourse with 20 gates and an expanded baggage claim area. Rental cars, airport shuttles, taxis and Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) buses all provide transportation to and from the airport. The airport also features the Love Field Conference Center with state-of-the-art business amenities, catering and meeting rooms.
