Reading the above post and several others, I am surprised no one from Iberia has joined to make a comment on this board.....

Hi
Yes, we complained to the carrier via Royal Caribean, as it was they who placed the booking. They ofered a reduction on a future trip.
As you can imagine, that won't be happening.

Here, here.... I have been flying Iberia to Spain every other month this past year (both business class and economy) and I agree with the humorous description of the lack of courteous, competent ,service oriented crew in any class. I hope somebody will has the time and wit of writing a SNL skit or something similar. 2 weeks ago I arrived to the airport and found that the in-flight crew was on strike...and the flight was better and more pleasant than when we have to suffer their poor service and overflowing disgust with what they do. It is so poor , it is laughable,it seems unreal....After experiencing an Iberia flight without attendants....
I suggest that Iberia removes the attendant crew and leave an self service counter for water and snacks ...(all we had for a transatlantic flight from Chicago, nothing also) or we can bring our own food. Drop the prices, concentrate on cleaning the aircraft more often (it must be a rare practice for the company...) The nasty culture permeates the whole company from the air to the airport personnel...It is beyond comprehension....I don't have a better choice to get where I usually fly...so ...I must suffer ...or go through another country....I am considering this even if it takes longer...

I know I shouldn't laugh but you have raised a good point here.
Clueless, sorry, Crewless airlines.
Just imagin, except for the two pilots needed up front, we could all strap ourselves in, watch the animated saftey film, wait for an automated release of the seat belts, get our own self-service food and drinks. We could even go to the bathroom on our own.
This is all possible. I know it is because when I am not on a flight, I normally do this sort of thing everyday myself.
Amazing.
Just imagine, a better experience all round, lower fayres, more seat space, and no dolly birds prancing around the joint looking like they own the place.
Here's a few more off-the-cough ideas Crewless Airlines could offer - free...
> Eyes-down Bingo > Live Kareoke > Kids tea parties > Fancy dress > Pin-the-tail on the Iberia Donkey > Roulette tables (over 18's) > Gambling (over 18's only) > Fashion shows down the centre aisle > Colouring in competitions > Origami (using those **** in-flight magazines) > Darts
I'm sure there's more available - jeez, maybe give old Ricky Branson and idea there

Well I flew Iberia on Oct. 22 from JFK to MAD and had a wonderful experience. I don't know what all the complaints are about. Was in business, we had at least 4 or 5 courses of very tasty food (usually I bypass airline food) even in 1st class. My husband is a 1K with AA, we fly frequently, usually in business or first so I'm experienced. Beds were quite comfortable and all the personnel on board polite and accommodating. We flew on to Seville from Madrid and it was the same. I'm perflexed because SO many of you had negative comments but I would not hesitate to fly with them again. My son is flying from Madrid to Johannesburg soon and because Iberia offers the only nonstop I'm putting him on it. Lorac
