Useful service idea: List all non-stop flights from a city

I signed up for a developer account here under the wrong assumption that I'd have the skills and ambition to create something very useful. Unfortunately, I'm just not that good. You, however, may be.
Here is the service that I have in mind. As far as I know, no one provides it yet, and it doesn't seem that difficult to do:
1. I'm taking a vacation and a few days before my trip ends, I'll be in Ecuador.
2. I'd like to fly *somewhere else* from Ecuador but would prefer to just take one flight and then hang out on a beach for a few days.
3. There is currently no way to find out all of the places you can go to from Ecuador (or any other place in the world) by taking just one flight.
Orbitz doesn't provide this info. Expedia doesn't provide this info. Nobody provides this info.
Here's how it seems you could do it using flightstats.com data:
1. Create a database of all airports.
2. Poll for all flight arrival information every 24 hours and append each arrival city to each airport record. Each arrival represents a direct route, which should be a reasonable indication that you can also fly non-stop *to* that city from that airport.
3. Create a simple frontend whereby you simply type in an airport or city and get a list of cities you can fly to directly.
Any takers?

mikeindustries,
Our 'Flight Status by Airport' tool provides similar functionality...
http://www.flightstats.com/go/FlightStatus/flightStatusByAirport.do?airport=UIO&airportQueryDate=2009-11-08&airportQueryTime=6&airlineToFilter=&airportQueryType=0
So, if you were leaving Quito, Ecuador this next Monday you could fly directly to Atlanta, Loja, Bogota, Guayaquil, Panama City, Lima, Manta, Houston, Miami, Coca, and more.
